MK Dons defender Lee Hodson is a loan target for Championship rivals Birmingham City, as well as League 2 side Portsmouth, according to reports.

The Evening Standard claims the 24-year-old full-back is frustrated at his lack of game time as he hopes to be included in Northern Ireland’s EURO 2016 squad.

The report suggests that while the Dons could be reluctant to do business with another team in the same division, Portsmouth could be an alternative.

It would be a considerable drop down the leagues if Hodson were to join Pompey, although the Hampshire club are on the rise and currently sit in fifth place.

Hodson has made just eight appearances for Karl Robinson’s side so far this campaign, and only three of them have been in the league.
