Police appeal after 18-year-old punched in face in Westcroft
Police in Milton Keynes are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old man was assaulted in Westcroft.
The appeal follows an incident that happened shortly after 6pm on Tuesday (19/4). In the incident, a group of male offenders and three other men were involved in an altercation at the rear of the Westcroft Morrisons supermarket, close to an adjacent building site.
The victim was punched in the face during this confrontation. The group then followed the victim to the Westcroft shopping district, where the victim asked passers-by to call police. At this point, the offenders fled the scene by running away towards Savill Lane. The victim sustained minor facial injuries following the assault, although he did not require hospital treatment.
The offender who threw the punch is described as a black 15 to 16 years year old male, who is short, of large build and with short black hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black tracksuit and had a black mountain bike. He was accompanied by approximately four other teenage boys of a similar age.
Thames Valley Police’s PC Joseph Swan said: “This assault happened in daylight hours in a busy part of the Westcroft estate. I am keen to speak to anybody who the victim approached or anybody who knows who the offenders are.
