Finalists announced for BizTech BrightSparc Awards for MK technology innovation
Local business and technology forum Biztech have announced the nominees for its BrightSparc Awards that showcase and celebrate technology innovation in the Milton Keynes region.
Among the shortlisted innovations ahead of Wednesday’s (22/06) ceremony at the Double Tree hotel at the MK Dons stadium include products that change the role of the humble household bin, projects to design a redways-specific app, a recruitment app and an electric bikes scheme in Spain that has been developed by an MK company.
Biztech chairman Fredi Nonyelu commented that the launch is a celebration of the best new technology idea in the local region, and that the judges had been impressed by the range of technological innovation presented to them.
He said, “Our judges and sponsors were impressed at the breadth and depth of innovation taking place in the Milton Keynes region. They had a very tough job deciding on the shortlist but the finalists are worthy of their places.
“The Biztech BrightSparc Awards lunch on Wednesday will be a celebration of the best up and coming ideas. Innovation and technology has a significant contribution to make towards building the future strength of our economy and these awards embrace that challenge.
“Biztech exists to highlight the best of the best in technology in the area; the awards do that and more by encouraging collaboration and networking for up and coming companies.”
