MK Dons defender Kyle McFadzean is attracting the interest of a number of Championship clubs after reportedly handing in a transfer request.

The Daily Mail claims Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Birmingham City could all make a move for the 29-year-old.

McFadzean was thought to be pushing for a return to his hometown club Sheffield United, who are in League One with the Dons, but interest from the second tier could change that.

The centre-back was booked on 14 occasions and sent off once for Karl Robinson’s men last season as they were relegated from the Championship. His manager even went as far as criticising him for a lack of discipline and warning him over future conduct.

But he was part of their record-breaking defence which helped them win promotion to that level the previous season.

A CitiBlog poll suggests that 74 per cent of supporters would like the club to sell McFadzean following his decision to hand in a transfer request.
