Former Luton midfielder Alex Lawless joins Yeovil Town
Former Luton Town midfielder Alex Lawless has signed for the Hatters’ League 2 rivals Yeovil.
31-year-old Lawless signs for the Glovers on a one year contract. His move comes after he left Luton at the end of last season following six years with the club.
Lawless made 203 appearances and scored 22 goals for the Hatters. He joined the club initially on loan in 2010 from York, before making his move permanent in January 2011.
The midfielder was one of 9 players released by Luton at the end of last season. In his career, he had previously played for York, Forest Green Rovers, and Torquay, having graduated from Cardiff City’s academy. He is also in contention to make a quick return to Kenilworth Road, with Yeovil due to play Luton in their first away match of the upcoming League 2 season.
