Police appeal after car stolen on test drive
Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of a car stolen on a test drive in Milton Keynes.
The appeal relates to an incident that occurred at around 8pm on April 12th. A man entered the showroom of the Evans Halshaw garage in MK and requested a test drive of an Audi A4 that was on the forecourt.
It was agreed that the man could go for a test drive in the car, which was a red Audi A4 estate. He drove with a member of staff, but on the return route to the garage, the man stopped the car, got out, and walked around to the front passenger door before ordering the salesman to get out.
The incident happened near the bus stop opposite Evans Halshaw in Kingston. The offender pulled the salesman’s arm to remove him from the vehicle, jumped back into the driver’s seat and drove away.
The offender is described as being white in his mid-thirties, over 6 ft, of large build and has a beard. He was wearing casual clothing and a baseball cap.
Investigating officer DC John Swallow, from Milton Keynes Force CID, said: “Officers are investigating the circumstances of this robbery. If anyone witnessed this incident, or believes they may have seen a man matching this description in the area at the time, please contact police.
