Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 37-year-old man who failed to appear to a court hearing for a racially aggravated assault offence in Bletchley last year.

David Gallacher, of no fixed abode, was due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court but failed to turn up to the trial. This is the second time Gallacher has not appeared for the trial, after he previously failed to appear for a first hearing in March.

Gallacher is charged with two counts of racially aggravated assault, two counts of assault and three counts of assaulting a police constable in the execution of his or her duty.

He is accused of attacking a Somali-born pregnant woman who suffered a miscarriage as a result of the offence. He is also accused of attacking the victim’s husband, and then attacking three police officers when they tried to arrest him.

The court issued a warrant ordering him to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court at the next available opportunity.
