MK Dons loanee Harvey Barnes has been named the Development Squad Player of the Season for former Premier League champions Leicester City.

The 19-year-old was hugely impressive during his stay at stadiummk as he netted six times in 21 appearances.

Dons boss Robbie Neilson even joked he would tell the Foxes Barnes had not played well so he could return next season.

He told the Leicester Mercury: “I’m going to go to Leicester and tell them he’s been terrible so they don’t want him back.”

But it seems his performances in Milton Keynes have not gone unnoticed with him picking up an end of season award despite featuring just four times for the club’s U23 side in 2016/17.
