Luton Town will face AFC Wimbledon, Barnet and the Spurs academy team in their Checkatrade Trophy group.

The Hatters had already been drawn against the League One side from South West London, and their League Two rivals from North London in the first stage of the draw. The second part earlier this week saw the Hatters’ group rounded off with the inclusion of the Premier League giants’ academy side, who enter the tournament for the first time.

The first game of the tournament will see Luton host the Spurs Academy team at Kenilworth Road in the week beginning August 28th. Luton are then due to host Barnet in the week beginning October 2nd, before their group is rounded off with a trip to face AFC Wimbledon in the week beginning November 6th.

Luton reached the tournament’s semi-finals last season. Nathan Jones’ side made their way through a group containing Millwall, Gillingham and the West Bromwich Albion academy side, before beating Swindon, Chesterfield and Yeovil to reach the final four. They were then beaten in their semi-final by Oxford United.
