Northampton Town recall defender Regan Poole in place of Leon Barnett in their only change ahead of the clash against Fleetwood.

The defender on loan from Manchester United is recalled to take the place of Barnett, who misses out through suspension after being sent off in Tuesday’s Carabao Cup defeat by QPR.

This alteration is the only change to the team beaten at Loftus Road, with Chris Long, Yaser Kasim, Alex Revell and Aaron Phillips maintaining their spots in the starting 11 after being bought into the team for that match.

Bought into the squad for the first time this season are Brendan Moloney and Shaun McWilliams, who return after hamstring and ankle injuries respectively. The pair start the game as substitutes.

Northampton last played Fleetwood at home in their opening match of last season, with that match finishing as a 1-1 draw.

Northampton XI: Cornell, Poole, A. Taylor, Pierre, Phillips, Crooks, Kasim, Buchanan, Waters, Long, Revell.

Subs: Goff, Moloney, McWilliams, M. Taylor, Lobjoit, Bowditch, Richards
