James Collins and Danny Hylton scored first half goals as Luton Town won 2-0 at Accrington Stanley.

The Hatters took the points in a match-up between two of the positive early starters in League Two. Collins put them in front when he picked up a knockdown from a left-flank cross.

Hylton then added a second in first half stoppage time from the penalty spot, with the striker converting a penalty awarded after a foul on Alan Sheehan.

There were no further goals in the contest, as Luton maintained a clean sheet for the third time in four matches away from home.

Luton sit 3rd in the table after a run of 5 wins in 6 unbeaten matches in League Two, and their second in a row against a high-flying early starter following their home win over Newport last weekend.

Nathan Jones’ side will look to continue their early good form against their fellow early high-riders next weekend, as they host 7th placed Stevenage.
