The Melrose Directory was awarded runner-up status in Biztech Technology Forum’s BrightSparc Awards 2017.

The family-run firm, which created a value for money website directly connecting holidaymakers with property owners, came second in the Best New B2C Technology Innovation.

The company was also named as a finalist in the Best Technology Collaboration category for its work with AD Media Relations and westfourstreet.

Shirley and Stewart Elsmore said: “Having only just relaunched our website last month we are thrilled to have been named runners up in the BrightSparc Awards.

“At the ceremony we met a whole host of inspiring innovators in the MK business community and feel honoured to have been standing alongside them.

“Thank you to Biztech for celebrating these fantastic people who are helping to put Milton Keynes on the map.”

Last month The Melrose Directory relaunched its website – transforming it into an innovative and user-friendly site which is compelling in design functionality for the customer.

Already, property owners who have been left dissatisfied by corporate accommodation websites have taken advantage of The Melrose Directory’s lost-cost site, which they can advertise on for just £95 a year.

The Biztech BrightSparc awards took place on November 24 at E-Spark on Silbury Boulevard where Mayor of Milton Keynes Cllr David Hopkins and organisers announced the winners.
