Snowman flying into MK Theatre
The stage adaptation of beloved classic The Snowman will come to Milton Keynes this January.
Having toured the globe for twenty years, the show of course follows Raymond Briggs’ iconic story of a young boy whose Snowman comes to life, which of course was adapted into the famous Dianne Jackson-directed film in 1982.
Milton Keynes Theatre went into more detail on the Snowman in a press release today. They said:
‘Expect larger-than-life costumes, sparkling set designs and magical effects that combine to bring this childhood favourite to life, live on stage. THE SNOWMAN is the perfect introduction to the world of theatre for young children and the ideal festive treat for both young and old.’
The composer, Howard Blake, also spoke of the continuing appeal the show has to audiences. He said:
“The Snowman never fails to delight audiences and is a great introduction to the world of dance and theatre for young children. Children continue to be enchanted with the show’s story and characters and it is wonderful to see families return year after year.”
