Five second half strikes see Luton past Swindon
Five goals in the second half saw Luton Town beat Swindon Town to continue their 4 point lead at the top of League Two.
The league leaders had entered half-time level against the Robins, with a notable action seeing the home goalkeeper Lawrence Vigouroux deny a 40 yard hit from James Collins.
But the league’s top scorers went in front within minutes of the restart, as James Collins struck home from 20 yards. It was then 2-0 to Nathan Jones’ outfit within 7 minutes, as Danny Hylton headed the ball in from close range.
Luton continued their second half surge with a third goal on 66 minutes. The strike was credited as an own goal, with Matty Taylor turning in a cross intended for Olly Lee.
Harry Cornick then got in on the act, with Luton moving 4-0 up six minutes later as Harry Cornick evaded the home defence on a run before clipping the ball home.
Elliot Lee then rounded off proceedings with a 5th goal late on, with the visitors racking up a comfortable success in Wiltshire to maintain their advantage at the top of League Two.
