MK Dons defender Paul Downing has made his loan with Blackburn Rovers permanent.
The 26-year-old centre back had previously made a loan move from stadium:mk to Ewood Park on transfer deadline day at the end of the summer window in August.
The player has permanently signed for Rovers on an contract until the end of next season for an undisclosed fee.
Downing had joined MK Dons on a free transfer from Walsall ahead of the 2016/17 season, and made 46 appearances for the club.
His last came in a Checkatrade Trophy win over Brighton in August, shortly before his departure. The defender had played in Carabao Cup games, but failed to make a League One appearance in the current campaign before leaving.
The centre-back has made 18 appearances for Tony Mowbray’s side, scoring once in a 4-2 win at Blackpool.
In a statement, MK Dons said, “The Club would like to thank Paul for his contributions and wish him all the best for the future.”
