Former Rotherham United boss Alan Stubbs is ‘keen’ on talking to MK Dons about replacing sacked manager Robbie Neilson, according to Sky Sports News.

The 46-year-old, who has also managed Hibernian, has been out of a job since being sacked by The Millers 18 months ago after winning just one of his 14 games in charge.

He also reportedly turned down the chance to take over Dundee before Christmas.

But it is Charlton Athletic manager Karl Robinson who is favourite with Sky Bet to make a return to stadiummk a little over a year after leaving. Simon Grayson and Phil Brown follow him.

Despite the odds and Robinson still living in Milton Keynes, the chances of him coming back would appear highly unlikely with the Addicks sitting in the third tier play-off places

Neilson was sacked as Dons boss last night after a defeat to local rivals Northampton Town left them in the League One relegation places.

Assistants Stevie Crawford and Neil MacFarlane also left the club.
