Stevenage have signed Dean Bowditch on loan from Northampton Town for the rest of the season.
The 31-year-old has signed a temporary deal with the League Two side. He is the second player to move from Sixfields to The Lamex Stadium at the end of the window, following Alex Revell’s move earlier in the week.
Bowditch had joined Northampton on a free transfer from MK Dons in the summer. The attacker had made 16 appearances over the course of the season so far, with his last coming in the Checkatrade Trophy defeat by Portsmouth at the start of December.
Northampton manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the club’s official website, “Dean’s opportunities have been limited and he will benefit by going out and playing first team football.
“He is keen to do that and I think this is a good move for all of us. We wish him well at Stevenage.”
He is one of two arrivals at the League Two side on deadline day, with Stevenage also signing Josh Goddard from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.
