Three first half goals see Luton past Yeovil
Three first half goals saw Luton Town record a 3-0 win away at nine man Yeovil Town.
Luton struck early at Huish Park through Elliott Lee, who picked up Danny Hylton’s flick on a pass before dispatching the ball into the back of the net.
The Hatters were then given a penalty after 20 minutes when Hylton was dragged to the floor. Yeovil then saw the first of their red cards when Ryan Dickson was penalised for the offence, and Hylton duly made it 2-0.
Francois Zoko then followed his team-mate in receiving a first half dismissal for his part in an off the ball incident with Alan McCormack, which left the Glovers down to 9.
Luton added a third in the final minutes of the first half through Hylton’s second, with the striker tucking the ball home after receiving a through-pass.
The second half transpired into being a quieter affair, but for the Hatters, it was already job done, and Nathan Jones’ side maintain an 8 point gap to 4th placed Exeter City.
