Northampton’s trip to Blackpool postponed over frozen pitch
Northampton Town’s scheduled trip to Blackpool has been postponed after a frozen pitch.
A new date has so far not been arranged for the Cobblers’ trip to Bloomfield Road. The rescheduling comes after an early inspection was made, in order to avoid early and unnecessary journeys.
The rearrangement comes amid a challenging weekend for football organisers in the wake of various snowstorms. The majority of fixtures in League One (03/03) are not taking place tomorrow as scheduled.
In a statement, Northampton Town told supporters that had made purchases to retain them until their rescheduling, at which point people could be refunded if they weren’t able to make the new date.
The club statement said, “Supporters who had purchased tickets for the game are advised to keep them safe until a new date is known.
“At that point, details of the refund procedure for any supporters who are unable to make the new date will be announced.
“The club will retain any tickets purchased online and not collected in accordance with the above procedure.”
