Chris Wilder has made just one change from Saturday’s convincing win over Leyton Orient with Lawson D’Ath replacing on-loan winger Lee Martin for tonight’s clash against Oxford United.

D’Ath recently signed a new contract with the Cobblers and will start his first game since then, with the three goalscorers at Brisbane Road keeping their places.

Joel Byrom remains sidelined after picking up an injury in the warm-up before that game, which means Danny Rose will continue to deputise for him.

Impressive youngster Kemar Roofe has given the hosts a massive boost as he starts the game despite concerns over his fitness.

Northampton XI: Smith, Moloney, Buchanan, O’Toole, Diamond, McDonald, Rose, Holmes, D’Ath, Richards, Collins.

Subs: Clarke, Hoskins, Taylor, Cresswell, Prosser, Adams, Martin.

Oxford United XI: Buchel, Skarz, Roofe, Mullins, Wright, Sercombe, Hylton, Kenny, Lundstram, Maguire, Bowery.

Subs: Slocombe, MacDonald, Ruffels, O’Dowda, Ismail, Long, Dunkley

The Cobblers are currently five points clear at the top of League 2 with tonight’s opponents Oxford United sitting in third place as Wilder returns to his former club.
