TWO burglaries have beset the neighbouring villages of Wootton and New Hackleton in the same number of days.
During the overnight period between 11pm on Monday, 21 March and 6.30am on Tuesday, 22 March, a garage was broken into in Wootton with multiple high value items stolen.
The incident occurred at a property in Cowslip Close, where the offender/s forced entry into the garage and stole multiple bottles of whisky, a black PS3, black Sky TV box, blue men’s Hollister coat, Ralph Lauren men’s cap, Barbour navy blue wellingtons and a Bergman walking coat.
New Hackleton’s incident saw a white van broken into on Main Road between 11.30pm on Tuesday, 22 March and 5am on Wednesday, 23 March, it is not known whether the thefts’ are linked at this stage.
An offender/s forced entry into the Ford Transit, before stealing more than £500 worth of tools belonging to the owner, including a hack saw, planing saw, and many more heavy duty items needed for the victim’s profession.

Burglaries have been on the rise over the previous two recorded months in Northamptonshire, with recorded incidents rising from 466 last November reaching 639 by January this year.
