No goals for Luton in Crawley stalemate
Luton Town played out a goalless draw with Crawley Town, as they missed out on the chance to pick up a fifth straight win.
The Hatters remain top of the fourth tier of English football, as Notts Country and Exeter failed to get wins that would’ve taken them above Luton in the table.
Nathan Jones’ side are also unbeaten in nine games, but had a frustrating afternoon against the Red Devils. Indeed, the home side had the majority of opportunities against a side who had scored 11 in their previous two games.
Away keeper Marek Stech was called upon during the contest to thwart close range attempts from Jordan Roberts in each half.
Luton’s best opportunity saw Glen Rea denied by home keeper Glenn Morris, while former Crawley striker James Collins saw an attempt flash wide.
Nevertheless, the Hatters sit top after the first 15 matches, and are 2 points clear of the chasing pack. They will look to bounce back to winning ways against Coventry in their next match next Saturday.
