Police in MK confirm serving officer arrested and suspended
Police in Milton Keynes have confirmed they have arrested and suspended a serving officer on prostitution and illegal medicine sale/supply charges.
Thames Valley Police confirmed the news in a statement earlier today (12/02). They confirmed the officer arrested is a 44-year-old Inspector based in the MK area, and has been released under investigation. The officer is also suspended from all duties.
In their statement, Thames Valley Police said, “The following statement is being issued following the arrest of a serving police officer in Milton Keynes.
“A serving Thames Valley Police officer was arrested on Wednesday (7/2) on suspicion of:
- causing or inciting prostitution for gain.
- the sale/supply of prescription only medicine not in accordance with prescription given by an appropriate practitioner, between January and July 2016.
“The 44-year-old man is an Inspector based in Milton Keynes. He has been released under investigation and suspended from duties.
“The Force will not be issuing any further details on this incident at this time.”
