Luton Town have concluded their League Two season with a goalless draw away at Notts County.

The Hatters had the majority of chances in their clash with a Magpies side whose play-off spot was already secured. Luton did lose top scorer Danny Hylton to a second half red card, but continued to see chances.

However, there was to be no winner at Meadow Lane on the final day. Luton finish the season in 2nd position with 88 points.

Although Nathan Jones’ had the league’s highest goal difference, they finished 5 points behind league champions Accrington Stanley, but Luton did have enough to finish 8 points ahead of 4th placed Exeter City.

A Luton side backed by over 4,000 travelling fans had first half opportunities, as Olly Lee saw a long-range effort beaten away while Jack Stacey and James Collins saw dangerous crosses fail to pick out team-mates.

Notts County saw Jon Stead and Jorge Grant have sighters fail to find their target.

Hylton was dismissed during the second half for a second booking after fouling Shaun Brisley.

Chances to win did occur thereafter, mainly for the ten men, but there was to be no winner, and the final assignment for the already promoted Hatters ended goalless.
