Midfielder Andrew Shinnie signs permanent Luton contract
Midfielder Andrew Shinnie has signed a permanent two-year deal with Luton Town.
The 28-year-old had been on loan with Nathan Jones’ side from Birmingham City during their promotion-winning campaign. But after his release by the Championship club, Shinnie has returned to Bedfordshire on a permanent basis.
Scottish midfielder Shinnie made 34 appearances in all competitions for Luton last season, scoring 3 times.
Shinnie told the official Luton Town website, “I’m delighted to get it done, quite soon into the summer as well. It lets me go and enjoy my summer now and can’t wait for pre-season, coming back and hopefully having a great season like the last one.
“It had been spoken about when I first came, looking towards next season as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed last year. We achieved what we set out to achieve, personally and as a team, so it was good to get things done.”
Other news at Kenilworth Road has seen Alan Sheehan and Glen Rea sign new contracts with the club. Sheehan has signed a new one year deal, while Rea has put pen to paper on a 2 year extension with Luton Town.
