Train travellers heading to London via Milton Keynes are to face disruption as Euston is to be closed on three consecutive weekends.
Major engineering works in the Wembley area mean that Euston station is closed on the weekends of August 18/19, the Bank Holiday weekend of August 25-27, and September 1/2.
National Rail have urged passengers not to travel to London on the weekends affected by the works.
Virgin Trains have confirmed that services will not run south of Milton Keynes Central. The station will be the ending point for trains from MK to Manchester, Liverpool, and Scotland via Birmingham.
They have also confirmed tickets will be accepted by Chiltern Railways, East Midlands Trains and London North Eastern Railway on valid routes.
London North Western will also be affected by disruption. They will run a stopping service from Northampton to Hemel Hempstead, along with connecting services from Northampton to Birmingham and Crewe.
From Hemel Hempstead, buses will be in operation to Stanmore London Underground station, which is served by Jubilee Line trains to Central London.
In further developments, Southern Rail have confirmed that their services from East Croydon to Milton Keynes will not run beyond Shepherd’s Bush.
