Luton Town will face a replay against Sheffield Wednesday after the two sides drew 0-0 at Hillsborough.

The two sides both had opportunities to take victory and progression into Round 4, but ultimately there was no breakthrough for either team.

It means both will be present on Monday night for the 4th Round draw, and a replay at Kenilworth Road will be required to decide the clash of the League One Hatters and Championship Owls.

Steven Fletcher came close for Wednesday early on as he headed over the top, and later in the first half, the Scottish striker forced a good save from Luton goalkeeper James Shea.

Luton’s best opportunity fell the way of Luke Berry, who saw a swerving attempt blocked by Cameron Dawson.

Either side of half-time, Shea was called upon twice to deny Marco Matias, as Wednesday attempted to find a way through.

Elliott Lee flashed a late effort wide, but there was ultimately no winner, and the two sides will have to do it again to decide who will take a spot in the FA Cup’s next stage.
