The centre:mk has unveiled its new Primark store, which has opened on the site of the former BHS store after 129,600 hours of build-time.
The wait for eager shoppers and the centre were both finally over yesterday morning (16/04), as the brand new store opened its doors for the first time.
With a queue of over 1,000 guests, crowds could finally step inside the highly anticipated Primark store after the ribbon was cut at 10am.
The new Primark that has opened is a huge 75,000 sq. feet of retail space. As part of the space, it follows Primark’s new format with wider aisles across the shop’s three floors.
The store boasts the entire Primark range showcasing womenswear, menswear, childrens-wear and homeware, and shoppers are already delighted with the enormous beauty area on the ground floor which includes five stylish nail bars and four brow bars.
The ground floor also presents a brilliant range of ladies, accessories and shoes. The first floor will feature kids, lingerie and homeware and the second floor focuses entirely on menswear.
Kevin Duffy, Centre Director at centre:mk, spoke of his delight that the shop has welcomed the new retailer.
He said, “We are delighted to welcome Primark to centre:mk to join our extensive line-up of fashion and beauty brands. We pride ourselves on listening to our guests’ needs and Primark was the most requested brand over the last 5 years.
“This is a fantastic addition to our large range of stores and set to be a firm favourite at the centre.”
