Whitespace Studio to offer Mindfulness Taster session
In a bid to help residents of Milton Keynes combat stress, Whitespace Yoga & Wellbeing Studio in Stony Stratford has introduced another Mindfulness Taster session.
The one-off taster session on Wednesday 11th September will help to bring an understanding of how to break the stress-reaction cycle that keeps people locked in old habits and in an unsustainable state. The taster session will also explore techniques to help stay focused on the present moment and reduce stress.
Almost three quarters of adults (74%) admitted to having experienced stress within the last year, according to a study by mentalhealth.org.uk, and despite the conveniences of modern living, the fast pace and constantly connected nature of the digital age is causing millions of adults around the UK to suffer from stress which could be damaging their mental health.
Deborah Berryman, Yoga Teacher and Founder of Whitespace Studio comments: “So many people across the UK are experiencing high levels of stress which can be a significant factor in mental health problems.
“Mindfulness meditation is a tried and tested method for helping to relax and relieve stress, and this taster will give a flavour of how mindfulness can be incorporated into everyday life.”
Deborah continues: “This workshop is perfect if you’re interested in exploring the benefits of Mindfulness. No prior mindfulness or meditation experience or knowledge is required.”
The Mindfulness Taster between 7.30pm to 9pm is available to book now online at whitespacestudio.co.uk/workshops-and-events/mindfulness-taster and only costs £19.
Through Yoga, Pilates and Mindfulness, Whitespace Studio has helped to improve the health and wellbeing of over 9,260 residents in Milton Keynes over the last eight years and continues to do so with a variety of classes each week to suit all ages and abilities.
