Luton Town’s tie in the Third Round of the FA Cup will see them travel to Premier League Bournemouth.

The tie will take place on the first weekend of January, between Friday 3rd and Monday 6th. Details will be made in due course.

The two sides last faced one another in League Two in the 2008/09 season, with the two sides playing out draws in their two meetings.

Bournemouth finished 14th in last season’s Premier League, and currently sit 9th in the current top flight. The Cherries have been knocked out at the Third Round stage in each of the last 3 Premier League seasons.

Luton have been submitted into the competition as a Championship side for the first time since 2007. The Hatters advanced to Round 3 last season, where they were beaten by Sheffield Wednesday on a replay at Kenilworth Road. They had reached the Third Round in each of their previous two campaigns.
