MK Dons sign midfielder Ben Gladwin
MK Dons have confirmed the signing of midfielder Ben Gladwin on a free transfer.
Gladwin had initially been in training with MK Dons after leaving Blackburn Rovers earlier this month, but has now signed a full contract with the club.
He is the second new arrival at the club this month, following the earlier arrival of Norwich loanee Carlton Morris.
Gladwin voiced his pleasure to get the move done. He said, “I’m delighted to get this done.
“I’ve been training here for a few weeks now. Originally, I initially came in to stay fit but I really enjoyed it and we started talking off the back of that. I’m excited to be an MK Dons player now.
“There are a great bunch of lads here, who have welcomed me into the dressing room right away. The team is looking to play football the right way and that’s something that suits me. I look forward to getting started properly.”
Gladwin began his career in the academy at Reading, and after a stint in non-league, he joined Swindon Town in 2013. He was a regular starter in a Swindon team that made the play-offs in the 2014-15 season and joined QPR, but struggled for game-time in West London and spent time on loan back with Swindon for 2 non-consecutive moves, as well as a further loan stint with Bristol City. He left QPR for Blackburn in 2017, before being officially released by Rovers earlier this month.
