Brennan Dickenson joins Exeter after leaving MK Dons
Brennan Dickenson has left MK Dons after cancelling his contract, with the left-sided utility player joining Exeter.
Dickenson leaves after joining MK Dons the previous summer from Colchester United.
The 26-year-old made 13 appearances in total for the Dons in all competition, and scored one goal, which came in a Leasing.com Trophy tie against Wycombe Wanderers. He was also sent off in the tie against Coventry in the following round, and did not make a consequent appearance.
Dickenson told the official Exeter City website of his delight to make the move to Devon.
He said, “I am really excited to come here. It is the final part of the season now, so hopefully we can push on and get promotion. I have not been playing much as of late so hopefully I can come here and the manager can put his trust in me to come in and play.”
“The boys have put themselves in a great position and hopefully I can come in and help. It is exciting times.”
Russell Martin told iFollow MK Dons that the move was made with the club’s best wishes.
He said, “Brennan goes with everyone’s best wishes. It’s always unfortunate when things don’t quite work out for a player but I’m really pleased that he’s found a club like Exeter, who are fighting for promotion. We all hope he goes there and does really well.”
