American rock band My Chemical Romance will perform a show in Milton Keynes as part of their highly anticipated reunion tour.
The show will take place at stadium mk on June 20th. Tickets will go on sale on Friday (24/01) at 9:30am through Ticketmaster and other vendors. They will be limited to six standing per person and four seated per person.
My Chemical Romance announced the show with a teaser video put on the band’s social media profile, with the announcement coming at the end of a video that featured new instrumental music.
The show is the band’s first in the UK since they headlined Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2011, alongside Muse and The Strokes.
My Chemical Romance were founded in 2001, released their debut album one year later and hit initial mainstream success with the release of second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. They would then enjoy major success with follow-up The Black Parade in 2006, which saw lead single Welcome to The Black Parade chart at number 1.
The band broke up in early 2013 but announced last year they would be reuniting, with their first show taking place last December in Los Angeles.
Rumours of a show in Milton Keynes first surfaced in November on a Reddit page for fans of the band, while further rumours of UK shows had surfaced with further posts by the band on their social media throughout January.
The show is the second major show by a US rock band in Milton Keynes this summer to be recently announced, with Slipknot announcing a UK run of their Knotfest event at the National Bowl in August. Tickets to that event went on sale last Friday.
