Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Newport Pagnell.
The appeal follows an incident that happened around 1:45pm on Monday (16/3) on Folly Lane.
The victim was a man in his sixties, and he was cycling from Cranfield along Folly Lane when a silver Audi TT passed at speed.
The driver of the Audi started shouted abuse towards him, before the car then stopped in front of the victim, forcing him to cycle into the road.
Then the driver opened the car door and knocked the victim off the bike. He sustained a fractured spine and seven fractured ribs, and remains in hospital receiving treatment.
Investigating officer PC Helen Baucutt said, “This was a frightening experience for the victim and I am urging anyone who has any information to come forward.
