Police are issuing CCTV images of a person who might have vital information regarding an assault in Milton Keynes after a shop worker was spat at.

The CCTV and associated appeal concerns an incident that happened at 3.30pm on Monday (11/5).

The incident happened when a man entered a Co-op store in Farthing Grove in the Netherfield area of Milton Keynes and attempted to steal a bottle of wine.

A member of staff challenged him, and managed to retain the bottle of wine. However, as he left the store, the offender spat towards a security guard, a man aged in his thirties.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Officers are now releasing the following CCTV images of a person who may have vital information regarding this incident.

Investigating officer PC Stuart Folwell, of Milton Keynes police station, said, “This was a distressing experience for the security guard who was spat at.

“Luckily there were no injuries during this incident, however we believe that the person pictured may have vital information relating to this, and we would wish to speak with him.
