Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious injury road traffic collision in Milton Keynes after a car and a HGV collided.

The appeal relates to an incident around 4.20pm on Tuesday (2/6), when there was a collision on the A5 northbound between a white Nissan Qashqai and a white HGV.

The collision occurred between Kelly’s Kitchen Roundabout and the exit for Caldecotte.

The driver of the Nissan, a 25-year-old man, sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains. There were no other occupants in the car.

The HGV driver, a man aged 40, was not injured.

Investigating officer, PC Steve Leathersich, of Milton Keynes Roads Policing Unit, said, “I am appealing for witnesses to this collision, which has resulted in a 25-year-old man being taken to hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

“I am appealing to any motorists who were on the A5 before or during this time that may have seen anything. I would also like to ask that anyone with a dash-cam fitted to their vehicle reviews the footage to check if anything significant relating to this incident was picked up.
