Police have confirmed that a murder investigation launched in Milton Keynes earlier this year has concluded no third parties were involved.
The investigation was launched by Thames Valley Police’s Major Crime Unit on February 29th, after an incident where Pawel Skubek, aged 49, from Milton Keynes, was located with a stab wound to his neck at an address in Clay Hill, Two Mile Ash.
Sadly, Mr Skubek died at the scene of his injuries.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood, of the Major Crime Unit lead the announcement the investigation was over. He confirmed police were satisfied there was no third party involvement and that two people arrested would be released with no further action.
He said, “Following this tragic incident, an investigation was launched into the circumstances of Mr Skubek’s death.
“We are now satisfied that there was no third party involvement and a file will now be passed to the Buckinghamshire coroner.
“A 24-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman who were arrested in connection with this investigation have now been released with no further action to be taken.”
DCI Shearwood also said the force’s thoughts remained the family of Mr Skubek.
He said, “The thoughts of all of us at Thames Valley Police remain with Mr Skubek’s family and friends, and we would ask on their behalf, that their privacy continues to be respected.”
