MK Dons have confirmed midfielder Ben Gladwin will remain with the club as he signed a new deal.
Gladwin had originally been released by the club, but after making a positive impression on manager Russell Martin and the team’s fans, the Dons have since signed him up for a full deal.
The midfielder made 9 appearances after joining the club in January, including a goal in a win over Wycombe.
Gladwin, who previously turned out for Swindon, Bristol City, QPR and Blackburn, had originally signed a deal just for the second half of the 2019-20 campaign.
He told MK Dons iFollow that he was in frequent conversation with Martin about staying with the club, and that it was the move he wanted more than any other.
He said, “Me and Russ were in dialogue for most of the time we were away. I know the Football Club wanted to take some time to see where it would be at, but I only had my eyes on this while we were away.
“I really enjoyed my time here last season. The Club giving me the opportunity after such a long time out was really special for me, so I’m pleased it’s sorted now and I can’t wait to get going again.
“I know last year was mostly about staying in the division but we’ve built an identity. We’ve got a whole pre-season now to work on a number of things and I’m confident it will set us up for a positive season.”
