MK Dons’ woes away from stadium mk continued after they were beaten 1-0 by Blackpool.

Sulley Kaikai scored the game’s only goal as the Blackpool winger continued the Dons’ troubles on the road.

The Dons have not won a league game away from Milton Keynes since their last visit to Blackpool, which saw them win 3-0 at Bloomfield Road in September last year – a game where now-manager Russell Martin scored.

This latest reverse is the Dons’ 5th in 8 games so far, and a second away loss in a week after a midweek defeat by Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium.

A big call saw the Dons drop keeper Lee Nicholls for Andy Fisher, but neither he nor his opposition number Chris Maxwell had a save to make in the first half.

Daniel Harvie and Scott Fraser had opportunities saved in the second period as the Dons tried to shuffle their deck to attack their opponents.

But it was Blackpool who would break the deadlock, as from CJ Hamilton’s cross, Kaikai broke free to beat Fisher and put the home side in front.

Jerry Yates was denied by Fisher late on, but with the Dons unable to offer anything to equalise, it was Blackpool who rode the game out to secure victory and seal 3 points at the Dons’ expense.
