MK Dons have confirmed their plans for returning crowds to games after the clearance was given for fans to return.
The club’s announcement came after Milton Keynes and surrounding territories were placed into tier 2 of the government’s covid health restrictions.
Under these measures, it means MK Dons will have clearance to admit up to 2,000 fans for home matches after lockdown finishes at the start of December.
The club said, “MK Dons are delighted to announce that we will welcome a limited number of supporters back to Stadium MK next month, following the end of national restrictions on 2 December.
“Following consultation with the relevant safety authorities, as well as the MKDSA and representatives from our Supporter Working Groups, the Club can confirm its Return to Crowds policy for the three upcoming home league fixtures in December as well as the Papa John’s Trophy tie with Norwich City Under-21s at Stadium MK.”
The club will have four fixtures in December, starting with the EFL Trophy game against Norwich U21s followed by league games against Burton Albion, Peterborough United and Bristol Rovers.
Tickets for these 4 games will be given as priority to season ticket holders. Full details of what allocation order will be given can be found on the MK Dons website.
The club then added further details of how fans will be admitted into the stadium and how they will be allowed into the venue.
They said, “All successful applicants for the Sky Bet League games, and those who have purchased tickets for the Papa John’s Trophy tie with Norwich City Under-21s, will be contacted by email and provided with guidance on what is expected from them when they attend the fixtures at Stadium MK. Season Ticket holders aged 70 and over will be sent a letter and wheelchair Season Ticket holders will be personally contacted.
“Supporters will have their names printed on the tickets and everyone will be asked to bring photo ID to provide proof of identity on arrival at Stadium MK.
“To accommodate supporters in a Covid secure manner for these four fixtures, tickets will be allocated in the East Stand, extending to the east side of the Cowshed and North Stand.
“Those in hospitality enjoying a meal will be seated on the Directors’ Balcony in the West Stand. Season Ticket holders will be pre allocated a new seat for the fixtures they are attending and will not be allocated their Season Ticket seat.
“Supporters will be asked to read through a Code of Conduct before visiting Stadium MK. This will be issued with your ticket and will include further information on behaviour inside the ground. Included in there will be confirmation that masks should be worn at all times.”
