National League North side Brackley Town have postponed their next 2 matches after a member of the squad contracted coronavirus.

An unnamed member of The Saints’ first-team bubble has tested positive for covid-19, and in line with protocols, the club have confirmed that they will now be putting those affected at the club into self-isolation for the next 6 days.

This measure means upcoming fixtures against Bradford Park Avenue and AFC Fylde have been postponed.

They said, “The fixtures against Bradford (Park Avenue) on Saturday 16 January and AFC Fylde on Tuesday 19 January have been postponed due to a positive Covid test at Brackley.

“These games will be re-arranged and new dates announced. The club and National League medical protocols are being followed and those affected at the club are in self-isolation until 20 January. We wish the person who has tested positive a speedy recovery and for everyone involved to stay well.”

Brackley had been unbeaten in 7 National League matches before this postponement, and were sitting 5th in the table.
