Luton forward Elliot Lee signs for Oxford on loan
Luton Town forward Elliot Lee has joined Oxford United on loan for the rest of the season.
The 26-year-old makes a loan from the Championship side to the League One outfit, and is one of two deadline day movers to the Kassam Stadium, alongside defender Joe Grayson.
The striker initially joined Luton on loan from West Ham in 2015 before returning on a permanent basis in 2017. He featured on a regular basis in the teams that won back-to-back promotions from League 2 to the Championship.
However, he has since found opportunities harder to come by since and has joined Karl Robinson’s team, who currently sit 3 points off the play-offs in the third tier.
Lee told the official Oxford United website of his delight to move.
He said, “I’ve always enjoyed playing against Karl Robinson’s teams because they always play good football and I think the way they are set up will really suit how I like to play as well. I look at the facilities here and the players in the squad and I think everything is set up for a real push from now until the end of the season and I can’t wait to be a part of that.”
