Police are appealing for witnesses following the assault of two police officers in Milton Keynes.
The appeal relates to an incident that happened outside Shipindon Hill, Bradville, Milton Keynes and continued into a nearby alleyway at around 12.15am on Saturday (3/4).
Two women left a property and were verbally abusive towards the officers, before running from the officers as the duo attempted to arrest them.
During the arrest, the women assaulted the two officers causing injuries to one of them. The officer sustained bruising to the face and a scalp injury but did not require hospital treatment.
Two women, aged 24 and 26 from Milton Keynes were arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and assaulting an emergency worker. They were both released on police bail until 6 May.
Investigating officer PC Rebecca Holton based at Milton Keynes police station, said, “The officers in this case were assaulted while carrying out their duty.
“We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone with information about what happened.
“It is thought there were a number of people who potentially filmed this incident and we would ask that that footage is shared with us rather than on social media.
