MK Dons have confirmed their upcoming home matches against Portsmouth and Rochdale will have new kick-off times.

The match against Portsmouth at stadium mk this Saturday (17/04) will now take place as a 12:30pm kick-off.

This is in order to avoid a clash with the funeral of Prince Philip, in line with an announcement by the EFL that all games scheduled to be played at 3pm this Saturday were to be moved as a mark of respect to avoid taking place at the same time as the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

The Duke’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 3pm.

MK Dons had previously announced last Friday (09/04) their meeting with Pompey at stadium mk was originally being brought forward to be a 1pm kick-off. The club stated this original fixture move was brought forward to allow extra recovery time. But the news means the game is now set to be moved further forward.

Meanwhile, the Dons’ final game of the season has also been rescheduled. The EFL announced today that all of League One’s final games in the 2020-21 season have been moved to Sunday May 9th as 12pm kick-offs.

This means MK Dons’ season finale against Rochdale, like the other 11 final day games in the third tier will take place then rather than as 3pm games on Saturday May 8th.

All EFL Championship final day fixtures will be 12:30 kick-offs the day before, and League Two’s final matches will be 3pm kick-offs on the Saturday as well.
