Northampton Town have announced new dates for postponed games against Scunthorpe United and Walsall.
The matches are 2 of 3 games Northampton were due to play over Christmas that were unable to be played in their original slots after a covid outbreak in the Cobblers first team squad.
The Cobblers’ game against Scunthorpe at The Sands Venue Stadium in Lincolnshire was postponed from an original December 29th date. It will now be played on Tuesday February 22nd, with a 7:45pm kick off. This slots it between a game against Colchester on February 19th and a visit to Rochdale on February 26th.
Meanwhile, the home match against Walsall that had originally been planned for Boxing Day will take place one week later on Tuesday March 1st. Like the Scunthorpe match, it will be a 7:45pm start time. The new fixture slot places it between the game at Rochdale the preceding Saturday and a home tie with Tranmere on March 5th.
Northampton have confirmed that any tickets purchased for the original date of both games will be valid for the re-arrangement, and that any match ticket holders who cannot make the game should contact the club’s ticket office to request a refund. The deadline is before 5pm on February 21st for the Scunthorpe match and before 5pm on February 28th for the Walsall game.
The match between Northampton Town and Barrow which was originally scheduled for December 18th is yet to be rearranged.
