Luton Town have recalled defender Peter Kioso from his season long loan spell with League One side MK Dons.

The 22-year-old’s loan has been cut short by Kioso’s parent club Luton, with the defender available for selection for Luton’s Championship meeting with Reading tomorrow (19/01).

Former MK Dons academy prospect Kioso played 19 times in all competitions for the Dons, scoring four times.

The move is the third time this week that MK Dons have had one of their loan players recalled by their parent clubs, after Ethan Robson and Josh Martin had their deals at stadium mk ended early by their parent clubs Blackpool and Norwich City respectively. Max Watters’ loan from Cardiff was also cut short earlier this month.

Sporting Director Liam Sweeting said, “Peter displayed real passion, determination and commitment towards playing for MK Dons and we are so appreciative of his efforts and performances this season.

“Ultimately, though, Luton are in control of his situation and we have to respect their decision to recall him at this stage.

“There are still two weeks left in January and we are working hard to strengthen our squad ready for an important final few months of the season.”
