Newport Pagnell Town are to take on Hamworthy United in the FA Vase semi-finals.

The tie at the Swans’ Willen Road ground on the weekend of April 2nd will see the winners make it to Wembley for the FA Vase final in May.

Newport Pagnell Town booked their place in the final 4 on Saturday (12/03), as they defeated Whitchurch Alport in Shropshire after coming from behind to win 2-1.

This run has seen Newport Pagnell reach the semi-finals of the FA Vase for the first time, beating a previous best that saw them reach the final 8 in 2017.

The Swans’ journey began in a qualifying round when they beat Harpenden Town in September. They have since beaten London Colney, Leighton Town, Whittlesey Athletic, Fakenham Town and Buckland Athletic in the other rounds to reach the Quarter Final against Whitchurch.

Opponents Hamworthy United compete in the Wessex League Premier Division, which is equivalent to the 9th tier of English football. The team from the suburb of Poole in Dorset progressed when they beat Southall on penalties.

The FA Vase’s other semi final will be between Loughborough University and Littlehampton Town over the same weekend.

A specific kick-off date and time will be confirmed in due course.
