Newport Pagnell Town’s FA Vase final to be broadcast on live TV
Newport Pagnell Town will have their FA Vase final at Wembley broadcast on live TV.
The Swans are due to face Littlehampton in the final on May 22nd, which is due to take place as a 12:15pm kick-off on the same day as the FA Trophy final between Wrexham and Bromley. That match kicks off at 4:15pm at the same venue.
The FA have confirmed that both ties will be broadcast live on BT Sport in the UK, with the broadcaster having shown the two equivalent games last season.
Speaking to the media industry site Broadcast, BT Sport’s sports rights director Rachel Knight said, “Today’s news, alongside our exclusive coverage of the Vanarama National League since 2013, demonstrates our ongoing commitment to non-league football. Non-League Finals Day joins a bumper period of finals on BT Sport including the finals of UEFA club competitions as well as rugby’s Heineken Champions Cup Final, Challenge Cup Final, and, the Allianz Premier 15s Final.”
Newport Pagnell have said they have a limited number of tickets available to the game, with the majority having already been sold ahead of their trip to London. So far, they have sold over 6,200 tickets, which was the majority of their allocation.
Some tickets are still available on the official Wembley Stadium website, but Newport Pagnell said they will also be selling some at their club house ahead of a match against the Watford U23 team due to take place this Friday.
In a Facebook update earlier this week, they said, “We will have tickets on sale at the Clubhouse this Thursday & 6.30 to 7.30pm and Friday 6:30pm (before the Watford game) for the Wembley FA Vase & Trophy Finals. So if you have missed out now is your chance to get your ticket! Tickets are limited so don’t leave it too late! You can pre-order your tickets by email [email protected] and pick them up at the times mentioned above.”
