England will take on Portugal in a warm-up ahead of the 2023 Women’s World Cup at stadium mk in Milton Keynes.

The Lionesses will take on the Portuguese team in a game on Saturday July 1st, which will kick-off at 3:15pm and will be televised on ITV1.

Tickets will go on sale to England Football members on Friday 9th June and on general sale from midday on Monday 12th June. General will be available to buy from the MK Dons website.

The match will be the last game that the Lionesses have before the Women’s World Cup, which takes place in Australia and New Zealand. England’s first match is due to take place against Haiti in Brisbane on 22nd July, with games against Denmark and China to follow.

England’s game with Portugal will be their second game in MK in 2023, having previously played against South Korea in the Arnold Clark Cup in February.

The match will be England’s first clash with Portugal since 2019, when a Beth Mead goal saw England win 1-0 in Setubal.

England have previously announced their 23-player squad for the tournament. Stars such as Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Rachel Daly, Mary Earps, Alex Greenwood, Georgia Stanway, Alessia Russo, Ella Toone and Keira Walsh all continue to feature as they did in last year’s European Championship success, although MK-born Leah Williamson, her Arsenal team-mate Beth Mead and Fran Kirby will miss out through injury.
