Brackley Town have announced the loan signing of striker Layton Love from West Bromwich Albion.

The 19-year-old has signed a short-term deal with the National League North side, and will stay with the Northamptonshire-based club until January 2nd.

Love was named in the squad for Brackley’s game yesterday (11/11) against Blyth Spartans, where he was named on the bench. He would make his debut for the club as a second-half substitute, in a match that ended as a 1-1 draw.

The forward is seen as a bright prospect by the Championship side from the West Midlands, with Love having signed a first career professional contract at The Hawthorns earlier this year and made a Championship match squad as a substitute against QPR last month. He had previously scored 13 goals in 20 games for the Baggies’ under-18 team last season.
